Each mission is a wave of questions. The game quietly adjusts the difficulty as she plays: three right in a row makes it a little harder, and a couple of slips makes it easier again. Hints pause the invaders and never cost points.

A wrong answer costs a shield, then the right invader glows so every question ends with a success. In Calm mode the invaders never land, and Sprocket tops up the shields once per wave.

Block Blaster bonus rounds are earned with a perfect wave (all right first time) or by filling the bonus meter. Stardust from bonus rounds buys rocket upgrades in the Hangar. The bonus game can't be played on its own.
